I leave home really early every morning so I can get to the office on time. Yesterday, classes from elementary, high school to college have already been cancelled. This 8AM, government offices too. Mine wasn't. Until 830AM when I was already in transit, half-way to the office I got a text from supervisor, HR, and co-worker that we can go to work only if necessary. But I'm already in Makati, so might as well. A concerned girlfriend texted that I'm not military or a marine to go when delubyo is about to strike.
So here I am in the office, stormed in. Milenyo is the next big Signal No. 3 typhoon to hit Metro Manila since 1995. At the time I was in Naga City, being a 14 or 15 year old, shellshocked from the culture of an all-girls Catholic school and taught how to sew a pink flannel bonnet for a baby I have yet to carry in my womb. The storm has already hit the metro, and it's bad news if you can SEE the wind. It means, it's strong and I need a ton of bricks in my pocket if I don't want to get blown away. Reportedly, the winds go at a rate of 160 kilometers per hour. Nyar. That's a car -- drag-racing!
I plan to stay here till the winds subside after lunch, then go home earlier. Where I can snuggle with my favorite pillow and dream.
To curb my anxiety for my safety on my home, I listen to the ff tracks on my PC:
"Don't Wait" - Dashboard Confessional (I frickin' hate ka-emo-han at its core, but I can't resist Chris Carrabba. Kras ito, e. Walang logic-logic sa kras.)
"Gotta Have You" - The Weepies
"Tender" - Blur
"So Here We Are" - Bloc Party
"Hoppipolla" - Sigur Ros (The soundtrack of hope... na makauwi ako ng matiwasay!)
"Say Hello, Wave Goodbye" - David Gray (Si David Gray, mas masarap pakinggan pag umuulan. Feeling ko tuloy I'm in London, seeing the main characters of this particular song a la music video.)

milenio. delubyo.
I was in EDSA amidst Milenio. I dont know why I even braved the thing when people's house roofs were flying away and trees were being uprooted. I was thinking since Im already at work, might as well, work. Grabe, sobrang workaholic na yata natin or we are just soooo bored, we didnt care.Pero masarap sana kung itinulog ko na lang sa bahay dahil wala ding nangyari. The stuff we're supposed to sort out at a fotog's studio, ANG DAMI NIYA. Di kaya ng powers ko. Buti na lang at di rin kinaya ng powers ng iba kung hindi binabagyo na kami dun. I just hate getting stranded after. Tinubuan na naman ako ng additional varicose veins! grrrrr!!!!
